The shows have been broadcast from various venues, mostly in New York City. These have included the Radio City Music Hall and Madison Square Garden. They have also taken place in the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. There is a lot of competition between the different networks to get the top Emmy Awards for daytime. The top prize of Outstanding Drama Series has been won the most times by General Hospital, which is the longest running daytime soap in the US. It is way out in front with a total of nine wins.
