Students Learn about the periodic table
When we think of chemistry, visions of a beaker being poured into a test tube come to mind. It is always exciting to see a chemical reaction as the froth bubbles out of a test tube. Well that is the fun part and is hardly what chemistry is.
It is soon realized that a chemistry class involved elemental properties and equations on how those elements react. Students are immediately introduced to and taught about the periodic table. We learned all about atomic weight and valence electrons. As for me I enjoyed it. Most students find it tedious and end up changing majors.
