Credit Report – What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You
As I get close to retirement I have made plans for my retirement years that will allow me to have as much fun as possible. I don’t want to spend my time regretting the time passing, I am going to try to enjoy as many minutes of my life as I can. In order to do this I have made investments through the years and have paid my bills on time. Recently, I decided that I should check my credit report to make sure that everything was as it should be. I was planning on buying a second condominium in another part of the country so that I could travel between two homes. I wanted to have one home in the northern states close to family and a second home in an area with a warmer climate to spend my winter months that was more to my liking. I knew that the first thing a realtor would ask me would be questions about my financial situation. I thought if I had a copy of my credit report we could move ahead quickly. Boy was I shocked to find all the errors on my credit report. I was able to finally clear up all the errors and was grateful that I had the wisdom to ask for my free credit report ahead of time and insure myself of identity theft protection.
