Smooth CRM implementation tips
I have a company that has grown quite quickly and we are at a point where we really need to consider a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Our customers are contacting us and, as far as they are concerned, they are the most important client we have and we should all know ALL about them! As staff numbers are growing we are in danger of losing control of what’s going on. Finding a good CRM system is a task in itself, we want it to be as fully integrated as possible and ideally easy to use too. The first system CRM system we looked at was ok but it didn’t have invoicing software and was really quite complicated to use so I was worried the staff wouldn’t use it properly. I was also advised to go for Hosted CRM software instead of on premise software because Hosted CRM software was much safer even if I had a back up on premise. The investment in on premise software was much bigger than it seemed too, once you consider the IT people needed to run it and look after it. Eventually we did find a company that not only offered CRM software but Hosted CRM software. They ticked other boxes too, for instance they will do our Search Engine Optimisation and they are looking at our Web design. Once the CRM software is installed we will begin training. We will probably have a couple of key people that will know the CRM software back to front and then they will be the port of call within our company.
