The Newly Released HDC-SD600 From Panasonic
Coming soon after the release of Panasonic’s flagship camcorders is the new Panasonic HDC-SD600. It is the little brother of the excellent and full featured Panasonic HDC-HS700. Despite its significantly lower price, the SD600 retained much of its useful features.
Central to that is the similar 3xCMOS sensor array found in the HS700. Also identical is the image processing technology and the wide angle F1.5-2.8 lens. For $300 less you get similar performance to the stunning HS700. Colors are accurate, though still a little over-saturated, and the details are stunning.
Other features it has in common with its more expensive model include excellent Leica Dicomar Lens and optical stabilization. It even takes great still shots too. It brings convenience to inexperienced camcorder users that have difficulty in keeping the camcorder still with the POWER O.I.S. technology. The iA or “Intelligent Auto” setting makes a return in automatically picking the optimal settings for the current shooting conditions. Even the required functions are activated to make sure the recording looks natural.
